The Black Tower Podcast: A Wheel of Time Podcast
Current Hosts
Andrew (Founder)
I was a member of the United State's Air Force until December 2019 when I left service on honorable grounds. I started reading the Wheel of Time series at the recommendation of a family friend. He basically let me use him as a library to check out one book at a time until the eleventh book. At that point I started buying the books on Google Books and enjoying them digitally. I've always found The Wheel of Time to be an absolutely incredible work of fiction. When the show was announced, I took to Twitter to seek out and grab any information I could. With no friends or coworkers that read the series (most had not even heard of it), I was craving that interaction...that outlet to discuss my thoughts on the series. That was when I found the Twitter of Time community and all of it's amazing members. Combine that with the few podcast I could see that covered WoT a spark was born in me. I had an overwhelming desire to start a podcast of my own. It felt like topics were being missed by some, misinterpreted by others, and having read the books already I did not really want to sit through chapter-by-chapter episodes, and hope that topics I had a burning desire to discuss would come up. So, the hunt began for good podcast ideas and someone else to join me on this journey.
I was lucky enough to come in contact with another US military veteran who shared my love for the WoT. It was the internet bromance of bromances and we got to work almost right away (I would learn later that Aaron had no intention of actually doing a podcast, but was pulled in by the idea.) My depth of gratitude for Aaron joining me on this adventure can never be measured. Without Aaron, the Black Tower Podcast would not have survived, or even have gotten started as it did. We've gone through sections of time where I was the only host, and times where even I was not on the podcast. Nevertheless, the podcast has seized the taint and made it its own, persisting and putting out content reliably ever since. The scope that the podcast reaches is something I never dreamed of and could've never predicted. If there was anyone that warranted my thanks more than Aaron here, it would be you guys. The listeners and consumers of the Black Tower Podcast. What initially started as a way for me to talk about my view on the series has erupted into something bigger than I ever though possible. Thank you, so so so much, for your support and continued listenership. Yes, I still do the podcast for me, but now I have so many other people to do the podcast for. Tai'shar BTP!
My personal Twitter is @SaintADW if you wish to contact me there.

I have been a superfan of the Wheel of Time since first being exposed to the series in 1999. 2012 saw me move from the city of Chicago to Los Angeles, where I continue to pursue my call of acting on the silver screen, alongside other hobbies including music, Magic the Gathering, and escape rooms. Meeting Andrew and Josh has been a true blessing and being able to create content about this much beloved series has been one of the more fulfilling experiences of my life. I look forward to many more years of incredible content as well as close friendship and good times.

The other half of The Black Tower I am thrilled that you have found us among the many other quality Wheel of Time podcast that are out there. I started reading the Wheel of Time in 2018 and was instantly captivated buy the world that Robert Jordan created. As a military veteran myself I think that Andrew and I bring a unique perceptive to the series. I think that there are a many important things we can learn from reading tWoT and then talking about how they apply to our world. We are excited that you have decided to spend some time listening to what we have to say.
Greg & Thorne
Greg and Thorne were kind enough to take over the Black Tower Podcast for roughly a month in 2020 while Andrew took a much needed break. Shortly after Andrew's return, Greg and Thorne stepped away from BTP to create their own show, the One Power Podcast.
